| Company History | Founded in 1990 by longtime friends and co-workers Jack Messick and Gary Lee, ConstructaVision has been designing and fabricating high quality store fixtures, urban living accessories and commercial displays for the past 18 years. ConstructaVision began as a two-person company operating out of Gary's workshop in Corbett, OR. The two used their contacts at Meier & Frank to land some initial jobs and founded Messick & Lee Inc. The company made it through the first few years by way of strong word of mouth advertising and client referrals. These referrals led to Jack connecting with a group of architects at a fast expanding local video chain. That little video chain was Hollywood Video and they wouldn't stay small for long. Messick & Lee Inc. was asked to meet the demand Hollywood had for high quality modular fixtures. With a vision in their heads, they teamed up with Messick & Lee Inc. to make that vision a reality. With a new business plan and a growing client base, the duo was ready to expand to a larger facility in order to meet the increased demand. The move took them to a 17,000 sq. foot facility located just north of the Rose Quarter and Freemont Bridge in Portland, OR. As the company continued to grow, both Jack and Gary saw a need for a more descriptive name for what they were doing. After several ideas were thrown out, the two decided on the fitting name of ConstructaVision. This name personified exactly what Messick & Lee Inc. was doing as a business; constructing people's vision and making that vision a reality. Fast forward to 2002 and ConstructaVision is experiencing another boom, this time from the residential sector. With connections in the burgeoning Pearl District, ConstructaVision began working with Sodeberg/Laman Designers on custom loft accessories and high-end furniture. Diffused glass "sliders" that divide loft space, mobile kitchen islands milled from solid wood, stylish entertainment consoles and fully customized built-in cabinets all seemed to fit perfectly into the needs of discerning loft owners. With square footage at a premium, the ability to maximize space and add a contemporary piece of furniture at the same time was a niche that ConstructaVision fell right into. ConstructaVision's loft accessories are now in The Elizabeth Lofts, The Edge Lofts, The Henry, Park Place Condominiums, The Gregory, Marshall-Wells Lofts, McKenzie Lofts, Riverstone Condominiums, The Avenue Lofts, Irving St. Lofts, The Pinnacle, Chown-Pella Lofts, The Louisa, Eliot Tower, Elleven Lofts (LA), Luma Lofts (LA), Solara Lofts (San Diego, CA), St. Car Lofts, The Westerly, The John Ross, and Waterfront Pearl. ConstructaVision's ever expanding client list includes Carroll Aspen Developers, Ankrom Moisan Assoc. Architects, Gerding-Edlen Development, Howard S. Wright Construction, Debbie Thomas Real Estate, Hollywood Video, Robinson-May (Meier & Frank), OHSU, Widmer Brothers Brewing, Columbia Sportswear, Soderberg/Laman Designers, Wickes Furniture, Goodwill Industries, Coffee People, Red Hook Brewing, Legacy Health Systems, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Sungari Pearl, The Bike Gallery, C.C.
